Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to moratrix.net and to the optional text message program operated by Moratrix LLC (Moratrix). It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control.
What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Identifiers you provide. Your name, email address and message when you use the contact form; your mobile phone number when you use the text message preferences form.
- Commercial information. Your choice to opt in or not opt in to text messages, and the date and time of that choice.
- Internet activity. Standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, generated when you visit the site.
This website does not offer account creation, checkout or payment processing. We do not ask for passwords, government identification numbers or dates of birth through this site. If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message.
How we use information
- To respond to your message and maintain a record of the correspondence.
- To record your text message preference and send the account notifications and marketing messages you requested.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, including preventing abuse of the forms.
- To comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We do not use your information for third-party targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Text messages and mobile information
The SMS checkbox on the text message preferences page is optional and unchecked by default. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using this site. If you opt in, you agree to receive recurring automated account notification and marketing texts from Moratrix (Moratrix LLC) at the number you provided, including account verification and sign-in alerts, subscription confirmations and renewal reminders, billing and payment notifications, and product feature updates, as well as marketing and promotional messages about the Moratrix product. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE or UNSUB to opt out, or HELP for help.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
The categories of personal information described above include identifiers, commercial information and internet activity. The following declaration applies to all of them.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
When the site is configured to record consent evidence, we keep a record of the consent choice (the phone number, the checkbox state, the time and the request metadata) so we can demonstrate that a message was requested. Leaving the box unchecked is recorded as no consent, and we do not send text messages to that number unless you later opt in.
Sharing and service providers
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site and deliver messages — for example, our hosting provider, our email provider and our messaging platform. They receive only what they need to perform those services and are not permitted to use your mobile information for their own marketing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a corporate transaction. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not load third-party tracking scripts, external fonts or external images. Our hosting provider may process standard server logs to deliver and secure the site.
Retention
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond and maintain a business record. We keep text message consent records for as long as needed to operate the program and demonstrate compliance, then delete or de-identify them. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including HTTPS, restricted access and a form pipeline that does not persist data unless the site is configured to record consent evidence. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your choices
- Text messages. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE or UNSUB to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help. You can also email us to be removed.
- Access, correction or deletion. Email [email protected] with the request and enough information for us to locate the record. We may need to verify the request before acting.
- Contact form. The contact form does not collect a phone number and does not create SMS consent.
Children
The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will review it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The effective date at the top of the page will change, and a material change will be reflected on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
